This workshop is for HR professionals who are thinking of developing more effective ways to offer career counselling to employees

Aims of the workshop

  • to appreciate how career counselling can significantly benefit both individual employees and the organisation
  • to hear about effective ways of offering career counselling by independent, professional career counsellors
  • to learn to use a powerful questionnaire which identifies career motivations, passion and energy
  • to know about best practice methods of offering career counselling within a major UK organisation

Overview

  • Discussion about your organisation's current needs for career counselling, what is being done about it at present and where are the gaps

The Occupational Interests Explorer (OIE)

  • The OIE is a questionnaire that CCS has developed to identify individuals' key motivators, energy and passion. It has often proved to be the key that unlocks people's belief in their potential
  • The CCS consultant will demonstrate how to use the OIE, and then coach you and your colleagues, as you practice using it
  • Discussion on the uses and applications of OIE and the benefits of its use in the organisation

The Core Skills Career Counselling course

  • What are the core skills?
  • 5-day practical skills training split into 2 modules
  • Participants receive a license to use CCS materials
  • Benefits gained by previous participants
  • The CCS 5-stage framework of Career Counselling

Career Counselling for individual employees

How do we set up a Workshop?

You will find the Workshop beneficial if you are planning to improve the career development support you offer. All you need to do is provide a minimum of three participants and the space for the Workshop. We’ll do the rest.
